How I put change in motion

I can do almost everything you do—work, take care of my family, read, watch movies, shop, party and a lot more—except hear.

 

As a graphic designer, I support teams across Accenture in North America, Europe and the Far East to enhance their PowerPoint presentations, documents and other deliverables. Communication channels and tools such as Microsoft Teams, email and chat meetings, along with live closed captions, help me build a rapport with colleagues and understand their requirements.

 

In my five years at Accenture, I’ve worked on more than 500 PowerPoint presentations (PPTs) and received appreciation for every work.

A day in my life

My morning begins with a session of yoga, followed by daily chores and getting my 10-year-old son ready for his online classes. I connect with my eleven member team to allocate work and brainstorm innovative solutions. I also supervise and address any challenges faced by my team during the day. We reconvene in the evening to evaluate the work done and decide on the next steps.

 

As a team, we are now looking at adding animations to presentations. And, I am excited to enhance my skills and contribute creatively. All training sessions at Accenture carry subtitles and transcriptions. This is a big boon for me.

 

Access to tech tools, constant upskilling of people and global exposure on projects make Accenture a great place to work. A permanent work-from-home arrangement enabled me to focus on work and nurture my kid.

 

In my spare time, you’ll find me playing with my son. And, I read a lot. My favorite book? Bring Out the Magic in Your Mind by Al-Koran, which has inspired and shaped my life too. I also watch movies with closed captions.
