I joined Accenture in 2016 as an analyst. Throughout my five years in the company, I’ve had the opportunity to work with and learn from my mentors and leaders. I feel fortunate to have leads who really listen and let me learn how to drive the business forward. Their guidance and support have inspired me to become a better leader to my current team of 73 people.
Growth happens when people are empowered to speak up, and this is what I’ve experienced first-hand at Accenture. Here, we practice an “open-door policy” where everyone, regardless of level, is encouraged to reach out to give feedback, ask questions, put out suggestions and brainstorm for ideas. I learned this important lesson from my mentors. Now that I’m an Operations lead, I also put it into practice with my team to help them succeed as well.
One of my most memorable projects was for an IT industry client in 2018. During that time, there were individuals who used our client’s program to share sensitive and inappropriate data. My team immediately worked to identify those data and offered efficient ways to communicate the issue to users, while advising the client to take the necessary actions. By providing swift and efficient service, we saved the client from potential losses and received good feedback from the program users. My team (Korean market) was also recognized as the best in maintaining quality KPIs among 70 markets.
