Reshaping customer experience and journeys requires a lot of innovation. Hence, I go into my workdays always anticipating change. It comes in the form of new ideas, methodologies, technologies and customer insights or shifts in priorities and tasks. I keep my eyes on the ball by refreshing my to-do list to highlight and reflect the day’s most impactful activities.
In the morning, I meet with clients and members of my team. I hold a stand-up call with team members to discuss project status, updates and issues. We make sure to keep each other attuned to the client’s customers’ needs. We address pain points to fix in their products and services. Afterward, I update the client to realign on our progress. I then sync up with other teams on development of various project aspects, including application design, front-end and back-end.
In the afternoon, I complete my to-do’s, which involve reviewing project challenges and progress, from the expected to the unexpected. I test and iterate solutions with my team.
I feel lucky to be working with such talented and diligent team members. We find our projects exciting because we enjoy tackling different challenges with different businesses every time! Through our work, we make an impact on people’s lives. In one project, for instance, we built a mobile application to help deaf persons learn Thai sign language. We used a programming language called Flutter to make the app accessible across various mobile operating systems.
Personally, my favorite project involved designing a mobile banking application that now has millions of users. This includes my family, friends and acquaintances, who complimented me on their hassle-free experience! I saw firsthand how my work brought comfort and convenience to peoples’ lives.
I believe my impact is made possible by the supportive and innovative culture at Accenture. At work, I constantly create and collaborate on new ideas and design approaches with my team. I learn, debate and exchange insights on design trends and technologies with experts. My colleagues and I enjoy a deep sense of rapport and camaraderie that continued as we pivoted quickly to remote work at the onset of the pandemic.
Nowadays, I continue to engage with my colleagues virtually. We update each other on news and advances in our field and take time to chat. As I train online to sharpen my expertise or meet with a client face-to-face, my colleagues never fail to remind me to keep safe whether at home or in client premises.
In my spare time, I devote myself to literature. I listen to audiobooks while driving and read modern classics on my Kindle.
