Job Description
Accenture is seeking an experienced Senior Enterprise Network Architect specializing in hybrid Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) networks and network security who can apply their knowledge to assess, design and implement network architectures, whilst ensuring robust network security.
The role
As a Senior Enterprise Network Architect, the role is a mix of consulting, advisory and engineering, which requires reviewing and advising on architectures, implementations and documentation from project inception until its closure after deployment. This requires interaction with various internal and external stakeholders such as Project Managers, Business Analysts and Solution Architects, to assess the outputs from these stakeholders against industry knowledge and relevant published standards. The role also requires on-site assessments of the execution of the project against the same standards, agreed designs and against what is contracted to be delivered, ensuring Accenture delivers what is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network architectures that integrate IT and/or OT systems in a hybrid environment.
- Develop and enforce network-specific security policies and procedures to safeguard network infrastructure.
- Conduct comprehensive network assessments to identify vulnerabilities, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT and OT networking systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate security threats.
- Provide expert guidance on network security best practices and emerging technologies.
- Provide expert guidance on the monitoring of network performance and troubleshooting of issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Lead network-related projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in IT/OT networking and network security.
- Provide expert guidance on client’s enterprise network architecture processes by providing technical expertise and solutions to align with business objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on developing and maintaining enterprise architecture framework, ensuring it meets the needs of our clients.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, RFPs, and other documentation related to enterprise network opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with various teams to identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in network architecture and network security, with a focus on IT and OT.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, or similar are highly desirable.
- Enterprise Architecture certifications: TOGAF 9 or 10
- Azure networking certifications such as Azure Network Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and other security technologies.
- Experience in designing resilient and scalable network architectures that can withstand harsh environmental conditions and ensure continuous operation. This includes redundancy, failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery planning.
- Understanding the unique requirements and challenges of industrial networks, including the integration of IT and OT systems. This includes knowledge of industrial protocols, network topologies, and communication standards used in the various industries.
- Experience in designing and implementing robust security measures to protect critical infrastructure from cyber threats. This involves knowledge of network segmentation, intrusion detection systems, access control methods, and compliance with industry-specific security standards.
- Proficiency in integrating Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) with the network infrastructure. This includes ensuring secure and reliable communication between control systems and field devices.
- Experience in deploying and managing networks in remote and harsh environments, where connectivity and maintenance can be challenging. This includes the use of wireless technologies, satellite communications, and ruggedized network equipment.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and solutions.
- Proficiency in network virtualization technologies and solutions.
- Knowledge of network performance monitoring tools.
- Proficiency in using network performance monitoring tools to ensure optimal operation and quickly address any issues. This includes monitoring network traffic, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing network performance.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, or CIS Controls.
- Knowledge of IoT network security principles and practices.
- Knowledge of network segmentation techniques and strategies.
- Familiarity with network access control methods and technologies.
- Familiarity with network intrusion detection systems.
- Knowledge of network compliance standards.
- Knowledge of network traffic analysis, management and optimization techniques, including load balancing and traffic shaping prioritization.
- Knowledge of network automation tools, eg. Ansible and/or Python for network automation, including defining the state of the network, gathering data from network devices, and configuring them using automation techniques and building integrated virtual networking labs and implementing automation.
- Knowledge of leveraging generative AI for network automation, including converting network device configurations across vendors and validating configurations before deployment.
- Familiarity with tools like Netmiko and ncclient for day 1 operations, configuring networks after initial provisioning, and tracking the health and performance of network devices using streaming telemetry.
