The professional apprenticeship movement

In 2016, we launched a professional apprenticeship program at Accenture to help bridge the skills gap.

Headshot of Julie Sweet

Apprenticeship required us to rethink our talent strategy—it has to be embedded in what you do, the way you recruit, the way you train—embedded in your business.

Julie Sweet, Chief Executive Officer, Accenture

A year later, we co-founded the Chicago Apprentice Network with Aon and Zurich North America to help other companies start their own programs. Scaling apprenticeships multiplies the impact– today, 11 Apprentice Networks unite over 225 companies committed to advancing careers.
