Evaluation criteria
There are 3 evaluation rounds in this University Innovation Challenge.
Evaluation Round 1 - Registration
During the registration process, each team will be required to submit one application. Based on your response, 12 exceptional teams will be shortlisted to compete in the University Innovation Challenge.
Evaluation Round 2 - Semi-finals
The 12 selected teams will refine their ideas with mentoring from experts over 1.5 weeks before pitching for a spot in the finals.
Evaluation Round 3 - Final Round
This is the final round, where the top 6 teams will present their winning ideas to our team of judges and convince them why their solution is the best way forward. In this round, the public will also be invited to vote for the best idea and contribute to the final results of the University Innovation Challenge.
The qualifying teams and the winner of the Innovation Challenge will be chosen based on the following considering factors:
Originality of idea
- How original is the idea?
Resourcefulness
- How resourceful is the team based on depth, quality and sources of research, and ability to leverage on tips from mentors.
Clarity of narration
- How clear is the idea articulated.
Feasibility and In-Depth-thinking
- How feasible are the ideas and the level of thinking.
