Paula A. Price joined Accenture’s board of directors in May 2014. From July 2018 through May 2020, Paula was the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Macy’s, Inc., an omni-channel retailer of merchandise, including apparel and accessories, cosmetics and other goods. From 2014 to 2018, Paula was a full-time senior lecturer at Harvard Business School in the Accounting and Management Unit. Prior to joining the faculty of Harvard Business School in 2014, she was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Ahold USA, a retailer that operates more than 700 supermarkets in the United States under the Stop & Shop, Giant and Martin’s names, as well as the Peapod online grocery delivery service. At Ahold USA, Paula was responsible for finance and accounting, strategic planning, real estate development and construction, and information technology.
Prior to joining Ahold in 2009 as chief financial officer of Stop & Shop/Giant Landover, Paula was senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer at CVS Caremark. Earlier in her career, she was chief financial officer of the Institutional Trust Services division of JPMorgan Chase and also held senior management positions at Prudential Insurance Co. of America, Diageo and Kraft Foods. A certified public accountant, she began her career at Arthur Andersen & Co.
Paula is a director of Warner Bros. Discovery and Bristol Myers Squibb, and she rejoined the board of Western Digital Corporation in June 2020 after serving on the board from 2014 to 2019. She also previously served on the board of directors of Dollar General Corporation from 2014 to 2018 and DaVita Inc. from 2020 to 2022.
Paula earned her MBA in Finance and Strategy from the University of Chicago and her BS in Accountancy from DePaul University.
