Accenture uses personal information obtained directly from data subject in writing or by other means for the purposes set forth herein; services and solutions provided by Accenture in areas of "strategy & consulting", "interactive", "technology", and "operations" and the provision of relevant information; communications related to seminars and events hosted by or involving Accenture; the provision of materials, information, services; and statistical processing in which individuals cannot be identified.

      Personal information processed for client companies
      If Accenture processes personal information on behalf of a client company, Accenture shall process personal information under the direction and instruction of the client company for the provision of services and solutions agreed with the client company. Appropriate technical and organizational measures agreed with the client company shall be taken to protect personal information against accidental or illegal destruction, accidental loss, modification, and/or unauthorized disclosure or access. Accenture may transfer such personal information to other Accenture Group companies located both in Japan and overseas. In doing so, Accenture Group companies located overseas to which the data will be transferred shall enter into an international data transfer agreement required by law with the client company or Accenture from which the data is transferred to guarantee an appropriate level of data protection equivalent to the Japanese data protection framework.

1. Entrustment of processing of personal information
   Accenture may entrust a part or all of the work related to the processing of personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purpose of use. In case of doing so, Accenture ensures that the personal data will not be used for anything other than the entrusted work with evaluating the service provider’s information security management measures.
2. Joint Use
   Accenture may use a part of or all of personal information set forth in 1.I and 1.II above jointly with Accenture Group companies located both in Japan and overseas, within the scope of the purpose set forth in 1.I and 1.II above, to extent necessary to achieve the same purpose. In case doing so, Accenture Japan is the entity that is responsible for the management of the joint use under the laws of Japan.
3. Provision of personal information to third parties
   Accenture may provide personal information to any of Accenture's group companies located both in Japan and overseas to the extent necessary in order to achieve the purpose of use with the consent of the relevant individual. Each company of the Accenture Group is committed to protecting personal information based on the Group standard "Data Privacy Policy" (for the Japanese version, click here) common to all group companies worldwide.
4. Consent from the relevant individual
   Accenture will not provide personal information to a third party without obtaining prior consent from the relevant individual, except in the following cases:
   1. When based on laws and regulations.
   2. When it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of an individual, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the data subject.
   3. When it is necessary for the advancement of public hygiene or the promotion of the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the data subject.
   4. When it is necessary for cooperation with a national authority, a local government, or an individual or a business operator entrusted by such an organization in executing the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the data subject could hinder the execution of the affairs concerned.

5. Security Measures for safety management of personal data held by Accenture
   Accenture takes necessary security measures to manage personal data ("personal data” includes certain personal information defined by the laws. The same shall apply hereafter in this section 5.5.) held by Accenture safely such as making basic policies, establishing rules for processing personal data, implementing various security control measures, and researching external environment including legal systems where personal data is kept.
